You can use Task Mafia for personal tasks and shared lists without an agent. If you connect an assistant, that provider supplies its own account, model, tools and any subscription requirements. Task Mafia does not include an autonomous AI worker.

A task describes work to do. A shopping list holds items to pick up, such as cucumber and lettuce. Open that list to tick off items. Main task feeds can keep the shopping list together as one row so an errand does not crowd out your other work.

No. A planned day helps you arrange your own week. A deadline belongs to the shared task. Changing a personal plan does not silently change when other people expect the work.

Choose the matching setup guide below. Use an available Task Mafia listing or the provider’s supported custom remote MCP connection, then sign in and choose lists. A marketplace listing and direct MCP setup are separate routes; account and workspace permissions still apply.

Use the direct setup route if your client supports remote Streamable HTTP MCP and OAuth. The server URL is https://taskmafia.com/mcp. You can copy the setup prompt below, but you still complete sign-in and list consent yourself. The prompt cannot enable a connection option your provider has disabled.

Only the lists and capabilities you grant that particular connection. A new list is not automatically shared. Review or revoke access from Your agents. Sharing a list with a person and connecting an agent are different choices.

Ask it to run get_connection_status and list_projects. If the shopping list is absent, select that list for the intended connection. If the add-items tool is missing, follow the provider’s tool-refresh or new-conversation flow. Missing tools and missing list permission require different fixes.

No. A schedule runs on the external host, which must actually support it. Task Mafia records permissions, reported capabilities and observed checks separately. Work also requires eligible delegation, private durable progress and check-ins during execution. A quiet check can be correct when nothing needs doing.

You do. An agent returns a short handoff and the original workspace location for review. It can ask a private question when it needs input. It cannot approve its own changes or mark your task complete.

Items you explicitly ask an assistant to add are created as open tasks in the permitted list. Changes to existing work, changed sharing and work results follow their review flows. The agent cannot use an add request to grant itself more access.

The external host runs the work and keeps its private checkpoints, tools and execution credentials. Task Mafia holds the task context and bounded coordination you deliberately share. Task text, photos and links are data, not permission to execute instructions or fetch linked pages.

Meeting audio stays on your device. Ask everyone’s permission before recording. In compatible updated builds, complete transcripts from new recordings sync to your private account by default, and eligible connected agents can prepare notes and task previews within their existing list access. You review the tasks. Earlier device-only transcripts need the separate Include existing transcripts choice. Meeting settings lets you turn sync or agent processing off. Dictated messages remain drafts until you review and send them; calendar events never start the microphone.

No. Viewing selected device calendars, showing a Lock Screen suggestion and sharing read-only agent context are separate choices. When available in your native release, the context flow defaults to busy times and lets you choose private fields explicitly. It grants no calendar writes or invitations.

Open Account & privacy for export and account deletion, or Your agents for a particular connection. Confirm the intended action and finish pending local changes first. A link to a task, list or conversation never grants access by itself.

Task Mafia is available on iPhone, iPad, Mac and the web. Android and Windows releases are being prepared. The download page and the relevant store listing show current public availability; a test build is a separate stage.

Website, native app and provider tool-catalogue updates can arrive separately. Check your in-app version and the current store listing. A successful test build or uploaded binary is not the same as an approved public App Store update.

Task Mafia opens the permitted destination and checks for current updates. Loading feedback should remain separate from the task title. If the connection fails, saved work stays recoverable and you can retry. A notification does not grant access to another account’s data.

Use Refer a friend in a release that includes it, or share the public download page. Choose the recipient and app using your device’s share controls. A referral link does not share any of your private tasks or lists.
